Just when you thought it was over, the Department of Homeland Security shutdown has taken a shocking turn. After 47 days, Senate Majority Leader John Thune and House Speaker Mike Johnson have finally found a way to end the chaos, but it's not what you'd expect. The GOP leaders have resurrected a stalled plan to fund most of DHS, leaving out Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol, and are trying to sneak it through Congress.
