Tomorrow, the U.S. Supreme Court will make a decision that could change the lives of millions of children. They'll be ruling on whether to end or narrow the constitutional right to birthright citizenship, a right that's been in place since 1868 and has been considered fundamental to child wellbeing. But here's the thing: if this right is taken away, it could result in 255,000 U.S.-born children starting their lives without U.S. citizenship every year, adding up to a staggering 4.8 million children by 2045.
